Simple Charcuterie Board

Ingredients
  

  • 1 log plain goat cheese from The Humble Goat
  • ½ loaf sourdough bread cut into thick slices
  • 1 green apple thinly sliced
  • 12 –16 round crackers
  • 2 –3 tbsp apricot jam fig preserves, or orange marmalade
  • Optional: lemon juice for tossing apples to prevent browning

Instructions
 

  • Prep the apples
  • o Slice the green apple thinly.
  • o Optional: toss in a splash of lemon juice to keep them from browning.
  • Arrange the board
  • o Place the goat cheese log near the center.
  • o Fan out slices of sourdough bread and crackers on opposite sides for variety.
  • o Tuck the apple slices in clusters around the cheese and bread.
  • o Spoon the jam into a small dish and place it near the cheese.
  • Serve with a knife
  • o Include a cheese knife or butter spreader so guests can top bread or crackers with chèvre and jam.

Notes

This board is ideal as a light appetizer or snack, especially when you want something elegant with minimal prep. The tangy goat cheese pairs beautifully with the tart apple and sweet jam, and the mix of soft bread and crisp crackers gives great texture variety.
