Crumbled Goat Cheese Burger

Servings 0

Ingredients

  • 3 –4 tbsp crumbled plain goat cheese from The Humble Goat
  • 2 brioche buns toasted
  • 2 beef burger patties 1/3 lb each, or your preferred size
  • ½ cup pickled red onions store-bought or homemade
  • 1 fresh jalapeño thinly sliced
  • Salt & pepper
  • Butter or oil for toasting the buns
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Arugula or spinach for extra green bite
  • A drizzle of honey for sweet heat contrast

Instructions

  • Prep the Buns
  • o Lightly butter and toast the brioche buns cut-side down in a skillet until golden.
  • Cook the Patties
  • o Season burger patties with salt and pepper.
  • o Grill or pan-sear over medium-high heat until desired doneness (about 3–4 min per side for medium).
  • Assemble the Burger
  • o Bottom bun: layer with pickled red onions and fresh jalapeño slices.
  • o Add the hot burger patty.
  • o Immediately top with crumbled goat cheese — it will soften slightly from the heat.
  • o Top with the toasted bun.
  • Serve
  • o Serve hot with kettle chips, fries, or a simple green salad. Add extra jalapeño slices on the side if you like it spicy.

Notes

Let the burger rest 1 minute before serving so the goat cheese just starts to melt but still holds texture — that creamy tang really pops against the smoky beef and zippy toppings.
