Goat Cheese and Herb Drop Biscuits

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup melted unsalted butter
  • ½ cup goat cheese herb or plain crumbled or softened at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup milk try using goat or sheep’s milk
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh chopped chives you can substitute thinly sliced green onions or other herbs you enjoy like dill, basil, rosemary, or thyme. If using fresh herbs adjust the quantity based on strength of the herb using no more than 2 Tablespoons

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Add ½ cup melted butter and ½ cup goat cheese crumbles or softened goat cheese and milk
  • Add herbs
  • Stir together until a shaggy dough forms being careful not to overmix.
  • With a heaping Tablespoons spoonful, place about 1/8 cup of dough on an ungreased baking sheet about 1 and a half inches apart
  • Bake 12-15 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown
